Welcome to the WWU Marketing Blog!

The mission of this blog is to provide information about the program to students and alumni, and to help us to fulfill our goal of using marketing for the betterment of our community and society at large.  I’m sure you still have questions about what we’re doing here.

Who

The short answer to this question is you!

This blog exists to combine two powerful resources that the department has at its disposal: our students and our alumni. We want to foster a community that brings these groups together to help one another.

Our students are bright, determined, and eager to pursue real world opportunities like internships and mentorships. A group of excellent marketing concentration students, working with the help of faculty, created and manage this blog.

Our alumnx act as guest speakers and mentors. They offer networking opportunities for students and general support for the program.

WWU Marketing Career Launch and Holiday Mixer

What is the career launch?

The Career Launch opens the door for current students to gain insights from established alumni in the field. Discover their journeys, snag tips on networking, brush up on effective resume and interview strategies, and nail the art of leaving a lasting first impression. The students get to speak in small groups with panelists and rotate.

The Holiday Mixer creates a laid-back, casual setting for all current/past students, alumni, faculty, and staff to bond and share favorite memories of WWU and the Marketing Program.
