Welcome to the third week of Senior Sunday, an on going series of blogs aimed at celebrating the class of 2020! Due to the unfortunate circumstances of COVID-19, commencement will be held online. This week we are celebrating our outstanding graduate Madelaine Alkire.

Image removed.Madelaine Alkire will be graduating spring quarter with a Marketing degree and a minor in Econ. Madelaine was drawn to Marketing because she enjoys strategic thinking and working on projects with a clear start and finish. Research and sales are where Madeline thrives within the marketing field. Currently, Madeline is looking for opportunities post-graduation within the technology industry and her dream job is to be the Director of Marketing at Chef Software. When asked to reflect on her time at Western, Madelaine shared her point of view on how her senior year was interrupted due to COVID-19. "Everything I've worked up to in college - I felt like all my dreams, goals, and plans just were swept away overnight." Madeline concluded her thoughts by sharing throughout college she has stayed honest and true to herself, especially now, "there is always a light at the end of the tunnel".
