About the Financial Management Association
The Financial Management Association (FMA) is an international club that has over 3,000 student members across 75 chapters within the United States and many other countries. Western's chapter of the FMA provides valuable guest speakers and opportunities to connect with professionals in Western Washington.
Mission
FMA's mission is to broaden the common interests between academicians and practitioners, provide opportunities for professional interaction between and among academicians, practitioners, and students, promote the development and understanding of basic and applied research and of sound financial practices, and to enhance the quality of education in finance.

Each year, thousands of university students participate in CFA Institute Challenges. These students interact with investment professionals and top firms while obtaining real-world experience in equity analysis, research report writing, and presentation skills.
