Jongwook Kim is an associate professor in the College of Business and Economics at Western Washington University. Currently, he teaches the capstone Strategic Management courses at both the undergraduate and MBA levels as well as the International Management course for the undergraduate International Business program. Hisresearch deals with issues at the intersection of institutional economics and innovation management, such as alliance governance, intellectual property rights, and strategies of emerging market multinational enterprises. His articles have appeared in such journals as the Journal of Management, Managerial and Decision Economics, and Industrial and Corporate Change. He has also presented numerous articles at conferences like the Academy of Management and INFORMS, as well as serving as discussant and panelist on several occasions. Professor Kim has received the Dean's Research Award (now, the Dennis R. Murphy Research Award) in 2004, 2007, and 2010.
