About
Dr. Hua held a faculty position at Oregon State University prior to joining Western Washington University in 2002. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and has been certified by APICS in Production & Inventory Management since 2001. For the past 20 plus years, Dr. Hua has been teaching and doing research in the areas of operations management, sustainability, and procurement. Her work has appeared in a variety of academic journals including IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management, Journal of Product Innovation Management, International Journal of Production Research, International Journal of Environmental, Cultural, Economic, and Social Sustainability: Annual Review, and Transforming Government: People, Process, and Policy. She also worked as a Senior Supply Chain Consultant at Boeing.
