About

James Mark Gbeda is an Economic Analyst and Researcher interested in Policy Analysis, Environmental and Resources Economics, Agricultural Economics, Labor Economics, and Economic Modeling. His research interests are fueled by his background, where he hailed from an agricultural home to appreciate the implication of economic policies on businesses and households, especially the poor. His goal is to impact policy decisions using data and research. He has more than five years of economics research experience in Ghana and the USA. James Mark co-authored research articles published in the Journal of Economics and Finance and the Journal of Agricultural and Applied Economics Association.  
 
Before joining the Center for Business and Economic Research (CEBR) at Western Washington University, he worked as a Graduate Teaching and Research Assistant at Iowa State University, New Mexico State University, USA, and as a Research Associate at the University of Cape Coast, Ghana, West Africa. He holds a Master's degree in Economics from the New Mexico State University, where he specialized in econometrics with a minor in Statistics, and he is at the completion stage of an MSc in Agriculture Economics degree from Iowa State University. He graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Cape Coast.
He is happily married to Rejoice Kafui and blessed with a daughter, Esianyo, and a son, Senanu.
