Burak Dolar

About
Professor Dolar has been a faculty member at WWU since 2012. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Mississippi and his MBA from Troy University. He also completed a post-doctoral program at the University of Florida.
Dr. Dolar teaches undergraduate and MBA courses in financial accounting, managerial accounting, financial statement analysis, and international accounting at WWU. He also has several years of teaching experience in economics, finance, advanced statistics, and econometrics. He is the Beta Alpha Psi faculty advisor and capstone professor for MPAcc students. He ran the EY Accounting Global Experience Program in London, UK in the summers of 2016 and 2017. He was seven times voted the MBA educator of the year.
Dr. Dolar's research interests include bank accounting, accounting and financial reporting of banking institutions, and earnings management. His publications have appeared in Journal of Money Laundering Control, Global Finance Journal, Journal of Banking Regulation, Journal of Finance and Accountancy, Journal of International Business Disciplines, International Journal of Business and Finance Research, Journal of Business and Accounting, Journal of Emerging Technologies in Accounting, and Journal of Business and Economic Studies. He is the recipient of 2013, 2016, 2017, and 2019 Moss Adams Research Fellowships.
