About

Akanksha Bedi joined Western Washington University in the Fall of 2019. Prior to joining WWU, she worked at California State University Northridge (CSUN) (2013-2019) and at Bishop's University in Quebec, Canada (2010-2013). She received her Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior and Human Resources from McMaster University, Canada.

Her research areas include study of organizational leadership and investigation of the causes and effects of dysfunctional work behaviors. She likes to study these phenomena with the analytical and quantitative lens of meta-analyses. Her research has been published in journals such as Academy of Management Learning and Education, Journal of Business Ethics, Applied Psychology: an International Review, Journal of Services Marketing, Management Teaching Review, International Journal of Human Resource Management, and Stress and Health. 

In addition to her academic experience, Dr. Bedi has worked on various consulting and business projects. In Los Angeles, she worked with Youth Policy Institute, The University Corporation at CSUN, Los Angeles Performance Partnership Pilot (LA P3) Program, Economic and Workforce Development Department (EWDD), and Community Action Board. In Canada, she worked with the Hamilton Training Advisory Board, McMaster Children hospital, Hamilton General Hospital, and Ministry of Children and Family Development.
