  • 2023 Boeing Northwest Case Competition

    • The 2023 Boeing Northwest Case Competition took flight at Western Washington University on October 26. Six teams competed in a virtual Kick-Off Event, comprising students from various majors.

  • High School Student Outreach Event

    • On October 17th, CBE hosted the High School Student Outreach event, uniting CBE and local high school students and teachers for an engaging session.

  • "Meet the Dean" Event with Deanna Kennedy

    • On October 17th, CBE hosted its "Meet the Dean" event with Deanna Kennedy!

  • "How to Influence (Like a Boss)" with John Vlastelica

    • Vlastelica presented what effective influencers do to grab people’s attention, how to get buy-in, and and how to change behaviors in the workplace. Vlastelica also shared the stories of successful influencers in top organizations.

  • CBE's 2023 Back to School Celebration

    • In celebration of the beginning of the Fall Quarter, the College of Business and Economics (CBE) opened its arms wide to welcome back its students.

  • 2023 Accounting Orientation

    • Our CBE faculty members, advisors, and alumni were on hand to share their expertise, helping students understand the program's offerings, career prospects, and the multitude of resources available for academic success.

  • CBE's 2023 Staff Retreat and Fall Planning

    • CBE's esteemed staff came together on September 25th, at the Bellingham Yacht Club, for a strategically designed retreat, meticulously preparing for the new school year.

Spring Quarter

  • CBE's 2023 End of Year Celebration!

    • With the school year coming to an end, CBE wanted to honor it's students by hosting the annual End of Year Student Celebration! The event was held on May 31, and included raffles, games, and gourmet hotdogs from Dogfather.

  • IMMIGRATION: Why Canadians (Mostly) Love It, And Americans Aren't So Sure

    • Monday, May 1, 2023, learn about why Americans are deeply divided about migration policy and have limited appetite for increasing immigration in contrast to Canada's government. 

  • CBE's Gaypril Celebration, "Out for Business"

    • LGBTQ+ CBE students and faculty gathered together and shared their insights about how their LGBTQ+ identity intersects with their school and work. 

  • CBE Spring Club Gala

    • April 8th was an unforgettable evening of networking and celebration. Attendees were able to connect with fellow students, esteemed alumni, and distinguished professors while enjoying charcuterie and captivating speeches from our club leaders and esteemed Deans Scott Young and Wing Fok.

  • International Business: Managing Diverse Cultures Event

    • On April 6th, the College of Business and Economics was honored to have professionals Joanna Bauza and William Stephens speak. They spoke on the topic of International Business and Managing Diverse Cultures. 

Winter Quarter

  • Alpha Kappa Psi Omega Beta's Resume Workshop

    • Alpha Kappa Psi Omega Beta's Diversity Committee hosted a Resume Workshop. The focus of this workshop was resume building and other various professional skills.

  • 2023 SMA Marketing Case Competition
    • On February 10, 2023, CBE Marketing students were given the opportunity to develop a solution to a problem outlined in a case, and present the solution to a panel of judges for the 2023 SMA Marketing Case Competition. 
  • CBE's 'Meet the Deans' Event
    • This past week the Moss Adams Student Success Center hosted a 'Meet the Deans' event for students to stop by and chat with Dean Scott Young and Associate Dean Wing Fok. 
  • New Year, New Scholarship Opportunities
    • Applications are now open for CBE Scholarships. These awards are for 2023-2024, and are intended for pre-majors and majors in CBE who have at least one year (2023-2024) remaining in their studies.
