Allan G. Sleeman received his B.Sc. (Econ) degree from the London School of Economics in 1960. He taught at various universities in England before spending five years at the University of Glasgow. He came to the US on a one year exchange with Ohio University and taught also at Virginia Polytechnic Institute. He spent three years in Canada and then came to the US. He received his Ph.D. from Simon Fraser University in 1983. Sleeman joined the department in 1977 and served as chair from 1989-1995. He retired from Western in 2005, but continues to teach Econ 206 each Winter and Spring. Currently he amuses himself writing papers on economic education at the university level.
