Paul Meeks

About

Paul Meeks, CFA, MBA is a Finance and Accounting Instructor at Western Washington University. He teaches Personal Finance (215), Investments (440), Corporate Finance (341), and Environmental Accounting/Sustainability (ACCT 484). Although he has taught at three universities since 2005, this is not his "day job." Meeks has been an equity (stocks) analyst or portfolio manager for 30 years. His experience is broad and deep but now he focuses on the technology sector. He is among the best-known technology investment commentators in the financial media (broadcast and published). Given his Wall Street background, he only believes in the semi-strong form of the Efficient Market Hypothesis. Therefore, he sees and teaches opportunities to add value analyzing securities with free, real-time Internet data and tools. If you care to see Meeks in action just Google him to watch video clips of his television appearances or his 2017 TED Talk. His style if simple, straightforward, Wall Street practical, and often irreverent. You may never have another class like this for better or worse.
