About
Effie's career originally began in the field of Human Resources where she spent 15 years working within all areas of HR, with a specialization in recruiting. She especially enjoyed her work in the start-up of several greenfield operations where she was a part of the leadership team for the organizational design and implementation of several manufacturing facilities.
Effie has been a part of WWU since 2004 working for Career Services, the MBA program and Extended Education. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the Sauder School of Business at the University of British Columbia and a Master of Education from WWU. She is especially passionate about helping students prepare for the job market. She teaches Business Communications 319, Career Preparation 315 and HRM 423 Staffing.
