Share your career journey and where you are now:

After graduating from college, I began my career at a public relations agency in downtown Seattle, where I gained valuable experience in communications, client service, and strategic marketing. While the role provided a strong foundation, the long hours and limited compensation led me to pursue a career in professional services marketing within the Architectural, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry. Over the years, I worked for several contractors and consulting firms, starting as a Marketing Assistant and steadily advancing into leadership roles. My career progression eventually led me to manage teams of marketing and graphic design professionals for an international consulting firm. Eighteen years ago, I joined a regional employee-owned AEC firm, where I had the opportunity to build and lead a marketing and graphics team from the ground up. Today, I serve as Vice President of Growth and Strategy, leading regional growth initiatives, strategic planning, and business development efforts for a region of about 500 people. I also serve as an Internal Trustee for our Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), helping support employee ownership and contribute to the long-term success of the company.
