Landyn Olson

I graduated Western in 2023 with a role lined up doing Industrial Automation Sales in the Portland area. I worked in that industry for about six months before I decided I wanted to live closer to home, which is in Marysville, WA. In finding a new role I wanted to find something I had true passion for, I have always loved sports and grew up playing football, basketball, and soccer. I saw a job posting with the Snohomish County Sports Commission and applied for the role of Sports Development Coordinator there. I got the job and have been in my role for nearly two years and have been able to utilize so much of my education as I grow within my career. At the Sports Commission I am tasked with bringing new sports events to Snohomish County. I have found my passion at the intersection of sports and business. This role has allowed me to make friends in the sports industry from around the nation. It has also allowed me the flexibility to coach high school football in my free time, which has been a joy.
