Share your career journey and where you are now:
I graduated into the 1992 recession, but then started a great career in talent/HR, working with 3 great, iconic companies: McCaw Cellular (became AT&T Wireless), Amazon, and Expedia. I leveraged my passion for entrepreneurship and business to start my own training company after my corporate career, which has allowed me to travel to 30 countries and work with hundreds of the most amazing companies on earth, including Google, PepsiCo, Disney, Booking, Uber, Nike, Target, Starbucks, and Amazon. To get paid to learn and do what you love is a dream. I’ve moved back to Bellingham and hope to spend more of my time traveling, writing, volunteering, and working with AI HR tech startups in the coming years.
What is your favorite CBE Memory
I was an officer in the most active business club on campus, and loved bringing in speakers and participating in shadow programs to get the real world exposure I’d need as I moved from being great at academics to trying to be great at work.
