Share your career journey and where you are now:

My journey started with a move to Silicon Valley after graduation and became a financial controller for Hitachi America and later, National Semiconductor. While in California, I received by MBA from San Jose State University. After about 12 years I moved back to Washington State and started a business consulting company called Premier Business Services and also became the owner/manager of local movie theaters. Later I took a position as CEO of the Port of Chehalis, which is the Port Industry in my hometown. While working at Port of Chehalis, I spent time as an adjunct professor at Centralia College, teaching Managerial Accounting for the College's Bachelor of Science Degree in Business. Also, I was the chair of Business Week held at Centralia College, which was an intense one week event introducing local High School Seniors to the aspects of running a business, or working in the business world. In 2014 I was recruited to become the CEO of the Port of Bremerton, overseeing 2 Marinas, an airport and approximately 2,000 acres of Industrial Property that we are developing to recruit businesses, create jobs, increase the local economy and enhance the quality of life for Kitsap County residents. In 2023, the Port was awarded with the distinguished honors of the Washington Public Ports Association as the state's Port of the Year.
