Share your career journey and where you are now:

After graduating from Western Washington University, I began my career in consumer insights at The Washington Post Company, where I learned the power of understanding people—their behaviors, motivations, and needs. That experience gave me a deep appreciation for data-driven decision-making and the importance of listening to the consumer voice, particularly during a time when the media industry was being disrupted by the first wave of internet technology. Seeking a high-growth industry after working in a mature category, I joined T-Mobile, an exciting new brand in the U.S. market. While I initially led consumer insights across multiple segments, I soon made my first leap into brand management and product development, where I could transform insights into strategies that shaped products and experiences. This phase sparked my passion for innovation, as I worked on creating offerings that delighted customers and strengthened brand equity. After several rewarding years at T-Mobile, I wanted to join a growth-oriented company with a strong consumer brand and a socially-driven mission—which led me to Starbucks Coffee Company. Over the years, I’ve gained invaluable experience in brand leadership and innovation, spanning the Food, Coffee, Tea & Beverage Categories, as well as Flagship and Store Concept Innovation. These combined experiences in insights, strategy, and innovation ultimately led me to my current role as Vice President of Global Coffee & Tea, where I oversee global strategy and product development for one of the world’s most beloved brands. Every day, I draw on the skills I built early in my career—curiosity, adaptability, and a commitment to understanding people—to lead teams and create experiences that connect communities worldwide.
